Negative Effects Of Internet Addiction
Do you know that half of of all teens think they’re addicted to their devices. 50% of teens admitted their addiction. 56% of teens go online several times a day , 12% of teens go online for a once in a day , 6% of teens go online weekly and just 2% of teens go online rarely? Actually addiction is not just teen problem; it is also an adult problem, too. 27% of parents cannot put their own devices down. It is really big problem for our lives. It affects our behavior , relationships , characteristics, grades ,future , and health.
One of the most common effects of internet addiction on teenagers is getting bad grades at school. Most of the teens are texting or watching something on their devices or TV while they are doing their school homework or practise. Because of that they cannot concentrate on their work. So they cannot learn their lessons. The university of Sussex said it affects your brain efficiency and even affects your IQ.
The second negative effect is lack of sleep.55% of teenagers reported texting and using the digital
platforms for at least an hour a night before bed and nearly 85 percent of teenagers sleep with their phones on or near their beds. The usage of the internet during the bedtime affects teenagers not only the quality and amount of sleep but also the level of alertness during the day.
The third negative effect is problems in face to face communication. 77% of teens get distracted by
devices and don’t pay attention when they are together. Because of that teens have problems in face to face conversation.
We are in technology age and we were born with this technology. So it means that technology is our life. But we need to limit ourselves on the internet because if we don’t, it will affect our lives.

Your blog is really interesting and easy to read. The number of teenagers touched by Internet addiction is really alarming :(. We have to learn to limit our use of social medias and our phones.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog about internet addiction. I totally agree with what you wrote about the negative effects of internet addiction. When I use my phone while doing my homework, after a time I stop concentrating on my work and pay more attention to my devices. It takes me more time to finish them and even decreases my grades in school... My opinion also same in lack of sleeping and interaction with other people.
