3 effects on teens of internet addiction
Can you imagine that you going to a party and everyone is on his
phone, and you are chatting with the person online even you are in a party! People spend almost whole day with mobile phone. Constant internet use has many harmful effects on the body, including lack of
sleep, mental health, and trouble in relationships.
of sleep one more hour. Using a phone, tablet or other light-emitting device in bed for more than an hour reduced the total
melatonin production by about 22 percent. Once people's melatonin is inhibited to this extent, their physiological cycle will also be affected. The direct effect is to keep people in light sleep, and even greatly reduce people's sleep time(Mazzola). We all know that long time face to the electronic products is bad for our eyesight and it’s also bad for our cervical spine.

Then, it would affect people’s mental health. Many people can get pleasure in the real life, so they lose themselves on the
internet. They spend all their time on the internet and neglect their real life. Some adults don’t do the housework, or take care
of their children, or even lose their jobs. They think the internet is their whole life. They can get the thing they can’t get in the
real life. Some of them even spend money in the game and become a “richer” in the game.(Young)

Last but not the least, it would let you get far away from your relationships. If you play on the phone for too much time, you
will lose the time to communicate with your parents and friends, and the relationships naturally drift apart(Joyce). Like the
scene I described at first, a party is for connecting or strengthening the relationship. If you play on the phone all the time
instead of chatting with your friends, how can you get a good relationship?
Beside these effects, there are a lot of dangerous
things we can not predict. Technology is supposed
to improve our life but now it’s seen like opposite.
We should use technology in a right way and do not
harm ourselves with it. The less time we spend on the
internet, the more time we can spend on social activities
in real life!

I liked your blog, I liked how you explained every effect and also is so true the part in the introduction where you say that people are in their phones in the parties because it actually happens and actually many times people are chatting with someone thats is literally next to them. Great Job!
ReplyDeleteIt is really worrying (for me) about our modern day society and our future children and their children's habits with technology. Who knows, we could literally end up with a chip in our shoulder, or wearing glasses that we can check our newest Instagram feed with. On the other side of the argument, I feel as though we have made so many positive discoveries and inventions with our technology as of today, like being able to identify certain types of cancers and diseases that are undetectable in our blood that would not have been possible to check about 50 years ago.
